How to view and print an invoice or receipt
Open Sales and click the invoice number to open the sale. The page shows every line with quantity, unit price, amount and the cost on this sale, plus subtotal, discount, total and notes. Print it with your browser's print command.
Every sale gets an invoice number in the form INV-YYMMDD-0001: the date, then a sequence for that day.
Steps
- Open Sales. Sales are listed newest first with invoice number, date, total and who recorded them.
- Click the invoice number. The sale opens on its own page.
- To print or save as PDF, use your browser's print command (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P on a computer; the share or menu button on a phone).
What is on the receipt
- The invoice number and date.
- Each line: item, quantity and unit, unit price, amount, and cost on this sale (the weighted-average cost at the time, useful for you, so you can see the margin).
- Subtotal, Discount, Total and any notes.
Changing a sale
Only the notes can be edited after saving. If a quantity or price is wrong, an Admin deletes the sale and it is recorded again. See How to fix a mistake.
