How to check current stock levels and stock value

The Items page shows each item's stock and status. Reports → Inventory shows every item with quantity, minimum, unit cost and value, and Reports → Low stock lists what is at or below its minimum. The Dashboard shows total stock value and the low-stock count.

Stock in Jogan is always current: it changes the instant a purchase, sale, production run or adjustment is saved. There is no end-of-day recalculation.

Quick look: the Items page

Each row shows In stock with the quantity and a status badge (In stock, Low stock, Out of stock), plus cost and selling price. Search by name to find one item.

The full picture: Reports → Inventory

A snapshot of every item with:

  • Quantity on hand and the unit.
  • Minimum and Status.
  • Unit cost, the current weighted average.
  • Value, quantity × unit cost, and the total across the workspace.

Use it before a busy period, at month-end, or whenever you want to know what your shelves are worth. See How to read your reports.

What is running low: Reports → Low stock

Every item at or below its minimum stock. The same list appears on the Dashboard with a count in the Low stock items card. Set minimums on the items that stop you producing or selling. See How to add your items.

What is about to expire: Batches

Stock levels tell you how much; the Batches page tells you how old. See How expiry tracking works.

The number looks wrong

Almost always a sale or a delivery was not recorded, or a recipe quantity is in the wrong unit. See Why does my stock show the wrong amount?.
