What can Admins, Members and Read-only users do?

Admins can do everything, including deleting data and managing the team. Members can create and edit items, recipes, production, sales and stock movements but cannot delete anything or manage accounts. Read-only users can see everything and change nothing.

Jogan has three roles. They are enforced on the server for every request, so a change of role takes effect immediately, even for someone already signed in.

Why deleting is admin-only

A Member runs the business day to day. Deleting is different: it un-builds the ledger, restoring stock and rewriting history. That is an owner's decision, so it sits with Admins. See How to fix a mistake.

What a Read-only user sees

The whole workspace, with the action buttons absent. The account menu shows a Read-only badge to explain why.

Changing roles

Admins do it under Settings → Team. See How to add team members.

The Platform admin badge

If you ever see Platform admin on the account in the sidebar, that session belongs to Jogan support entering your workspace to help, not to a member of your team. See Is my data safe?.

Did this not answer it? Use the chat bubble in the corner and a person will reply. If you are inside your workspace, the book icon in the top bar opens a short guide for the page you are on.
